New Shepard Flight History: Missions 1-9
The more we fly the better we get. Safety and reliability are paramount. Our rigorous test program with New Shepard is putting the vehicle through the paces. We have successfully completed several crew capsule escape tests showing that our astronauts will be safe in any phase of flight. In addition to our test program, our payloads program is driving more flights of the system as we iterate on operations and technology in preparation for human spaceflight. All the learnings from the New Shepard program are being flowed into New Glenn development as we scale up our capabilities to serve the orbital market. Visit us at www.blueorigin.com to learn more.
This is SpaceX’s very first human crew
This year, if all goes well, astronauts will launch to space on a private craft for the first time in history. It’s SpaceX’s big chance to show NASA that it can be trusted with the work of ferrying astronauts to and from the international space station. We met the two astronauts selected for this historic mission and spoke with them about what’s different about working with a private company like SpaceX. Iran Ignore US Warning, Launches Satellite, Fails
CNN Reports Iran launched a satellite on Tuesday that failed to reach orbit, after the US warned against the launch earlier this month. Mohammad Jahromi, the country's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, spoke after a ceremony was held for the launch at Imam Khomeini Spaceport early Tuesday. He said that the satellite "did not reach enough speed in the third stage and was not put into orbit," The minister said Iran would launch another satellite soon. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned Iran earlier this month to scrap its planned satellite launch, threatening to increase sanctions on the country. https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/15/middleeast/iran-satellite-launch-intl/index.html http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

#SpaceX Falcon 9 Iridium 8 Mission 🔴 Live Launch Commentary
Watch and discuss live as #SpaceX launches their first mission of 2019 and the last mission for Iridium and eighth overall, having launched a total of 75 Iridium satellites and 2 GRACE-FO Satellites in the past 2 years. Iridium NEXT will replace the world's largest commercial satellite network of low-Earth orbit satellites in what will be one of the largest "tech upgrades" in history. Iridium has partnered with Thales Alenia Space for the manufacturing, assembly and testing of all 81 Iridium NEXT satellites, 75 of which will be launched by SpaceX. Powered by a uniquely sophisticated global constellation of 66 cross-linked Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, the Iridium network provides high-quality voice and data connections over the planet’s entire surface, including across oceans, airways and polar regions. For this eighth and final planned Iridium mission, 10 Iridium® NEXT satellites will be launched as part of the company’s campaign to replace the world's largest commercial communication satellite network. Including the seven previous launches, all with SpaceX, Iridium is deploying 75 new satellites to orbit. In total, 81 satellites are being built, with 66 in the operational constellation, nine serving as on-orbit spares and six as ground spares. ************************************************************** To learn more about our weather balloon flights, Arduino based flight computer, APRS transmitter, RTTY radio transmitter, ham radio balloon tracking methods or any of our other on-board technology and data sensors visit ➡️ http://overlookhorizon.com Connect with us ➡️http://overlookhorizon.com ➡️http://youtube.com/OLHZN ➡️http://facebook.com/overlookhorizon ➡️http://twitter.com/OLHZN ➡️http://instagram.com/OLHZN ➡️http://reddit.com/u/olhzn ➡️http://overlookhorizon.com/discord 501(c)(3) Charitable Donations ➡️http://overlookhorizon.com/donate ➡️https://donorbox.org/olhzn ➡️https://paypal.com/fundraiser/charity/2727446 ➡️https://smile.amazon.com/ch/82-3099711 Shop & see the weather balloon equipment we use: ➡️http://overlookhorizon.com/shop ➡️http://overlookhorizon.com/shirts ➡️http://overlookhorizon.com/photos Giveaway Rules No Purchase Necessary. SpaceX is targeting Friday, January 11 for the launch of 10 Iridium NEXT satellites from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. This is the eighth and final set of satellites in a series of 75 total satellites that SpaceX will launch for Iridium’s next generation global satellite constellation, Iridium NEXT. The instantaneous launch opportunity is at 7:31 a.m. PST, or 15:31 UTC, and the satellites will begin deployment approximately an hour after launch. Falcon 9’s first stage for the Iridium-8 mission previously supported the Telstar 18 VANTAGE mission in September 2018. Following stage separation, SpaceX will attempt to land Falcon 9’s first stage on the “Just Read the Instructions” droneship, which will be stationed in the Pacific Ocean.

Why SpaceX's Newest Rocket Will Never Go to Space (Hint, it’s not supposed to)
SpaceX is building a massive massive new rocket down in Boca Chica Texas that will never make it to space. No, this isn’t clickbait, this particular rocket will never go to space. Because it’s not designed to. This is just a hopper version of their upcoming starship, that some people are calling StarHopper, and at first, this thing will likely only fly a few meters at most. But don’t get me wrong, of course when the actual Starship goes online, I fully expect it to make it to space! So today we’re going to do a quick history on SpaceX’s previous fleet of hoppers, why they build them, what this one is going to accomplish and then we’ll build a version in Kerbal Space Program and demonstrate what we’ll hopefully see the StarHopper do in 2019! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to install Realism Overhaul to Kerbal Space Program - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0a6PLkDUWF4 Thanks to HazeGrayArt for letting me use his awesome Starship landing animation!!! Abandoned Space Hardware: CANCELLED Part 2
Part 1 here! - https://youtu.be/WcSM7keniZw There’s nothing more exciting than a new rocket concept, a new mission to unknown worlds, or an exciting breakthrough technology. Unfortunately for every proposal there’s almost an equal amount of cancellations with only a small handful making it beyond the drawing board. What’s even more frustrating is when these concepts leave paper, have thousands of engineering hours put in, hardware gets built, billions of dollars invested and THEN it gets put on the shelf. In this new series called “cancelled”, we’re going to take a look at space programs and concepts that were so close to complete and sometimes even launched before it got cancelled. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Show your support by becoming a Patreon - http://patreon.com/everydayastronaut This video had three "Moon Walkers" who helped make this possible - Blake Jacobs, Mac Malkawi and TMRO All music is original!
