SpaceReport 4 When will SN15 fly Is Vulcan Centaur the best Moon Rocket Become an astronaut with ESA
In this week's Space Report, we of course cover the Gagarins flight anniversary, as well as the first space shuttle launch anniversary. Sadly Ingenuity won't make it to celebrate with a flight of its own, but it will fly just a little later. SpaceX also is celebrating the first drone landing of its Falcon 9 booster, marking the debut of ts domination over the industry.
Next, we have Axiom Space. The company has produced images of the largest window ever made for space, and it will soon be a part of Axiom Space Station, the company's vision of Nasa's call for commercial destinations.
This week's deeper dive is about the Vulcan Centaur Rocket. While not as revolutionary as the Starship, it will still offer a major evolution from the previous heavy launcher. The Centaur V upper Stage will feature in-orbit refuelling and its highly efficient engine will carry large payloads towards the Moon.
Of course, we have the usual SpaceX news, but this week relatively few things to say about Starship. I have made an estimate of when will SN15 fly though, tell me your own prognostic in the comments.
And last but not least, the European Space Agency is recruiting new astronauts. See below for the details. Timestamps:

Representatives from Kennedy Space Center, the visitor complex, NASA’s Launch Services Program, United Launch Alliance (ULA), and the 45th Space Wing attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the addition of the last ULA Delta II rocket to the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex's Rocket Garden. The third and final Airbus H135 helicopter arrived at the Launch and Landing Facility, completing the upgraded fleet of aircraft used for security operations at Kennedy. Coming from Columbus, Mississippi, the Airbus helicopters replace the Bell Huey 2 aircraft that had been in service at Kennedy for the past 30 years.

Starlink Mission
SpaceX is targeting Wednesday, April 7 for launch of 60 Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The instantaneous window is at 12:34 p.m. EDT, or 16:34 UTC, and a backup opportunity is available on Thursday, April 8 at 12:12 p.m. EDT, or 16:12 UTC. The Falcon 9 first stage rocket booster supporting this mission previously supported launch of NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley to the International Space Station, ANASIS-II, CRS-21, Transporter-1, and two Starlink missions. Following stage separation, SpaceX will land Falcon 9’s first stage on the “Of Course I Still Love You” droneship, which will be located in the Atlantic Ocean. One half of Falcon 9’s fairing prevouisly supported launch of AMOS-17 and two Starlink missions, and the other previously supported a Starlink mission.

Technicians from Exploration Ground Systems and supporting contractors tested prototypes of a new "rainbird" system to be used for the Artemis II mission. Teams ran various water pressures through small-scale, 3D-printed sprayers to capture data for use in developing full-scale nozzles.
Also, engineers and scientists at Kennedy participated in a joint simulation involving a tool developed at the Florida spaceport: the Mass Spectrometer observing lunar operations, or MSolo. The team connected remotely to Astrobotic’s systems in Pennsylvania to develop and refine procedures between the simulated MSolo and a Peregrine lander working together on the Moon.

Kennedy Space Center employees with more than 20 years of federal service were recognized during a virtual Length of Service Award Ceremony, hosted by Center Director Bob Cabana. During the ceremony, Cabana reflected on some of the Florida spaceport's biggest highlights from 20, 30, and even 40 years ago. Also, Deep Space Logistics Manager Mark Wiese served as a judge for NASA iTech's latest Ignite the Night fast-pitch event. Held recently in Tampa, Ignite the Night was a virtual event where 10 companies from seven states presented technologies that could benefit NASA and positively impact life on Earth.
Arianespace Flight ST30 - OneWeb (EN)
Today’s launch, Flight ST30, was the 55th Soyuz mission carried out by Arianespace and its Starsem affiliate. Performed on Thursday, March 25 at precisely 11:47 a.m. local time at Russia’s Vostochny Cosmodrome (02:47 a.m. UTC), Flight ST30 orbited 36 new OneWeb satellites – bringing the size of the fleet in orbit to 146. “Congratulations to all the teams who made this latest mission from the Vostochny Cosmodrome a success. This launch confirms Arianespace's ability to deploy the OneWeb constellation through the use of three different Soyuz launch sites – in French Guiana, Kazakhstan and Russia,” said Stéphane Israël, Chief Executive Officer of Arianespace. "I want to sincerely thank OneWeb for its trust. I am delighted that our company has contributed – for the fifth time – to this client's ultimate ambition of providing Internet access to everyone, anywhere, at any time.” Arianespace has launched 146 OneWeb satellites to date. Soyuz successfully orbited the initial six from French Guiana during February 2019. In February and March 2020, Arianespace and its Starsem affiliate successfully launched 68 OneWeb satellites from Baikonur Cosmodrome, as well as an additional batch of 36 satellites from the Vostochny Cosmodrome during December 2020. Pursuant to an amended launch contract with OneWeb, Arianespace will perform 14 more Soyuz launches through 2021 and 2022. These launches will enable OneWeb to complete the deployment of its full global constellation of low Earth orbit satellites by the end of 2022. OneWeb’s mission is to bring internet everywhere to everyone, by creating a global connectivity platform through a next-generation satellite constellation in low Earth orbit. The OneWeb constellation will deliver high-speed, low-latency connectivity to a wide range of customer sectors, including aviation, maritime, backhaul services, and for governments, emergency response services and more. Central to its purpose, OneWeb seeks to bring connectivity to every place where fiber cannot reach, and thereby bridge the digital divide. The satellite prime contractor is OneWeb Satellites, a joint venture of OneWeb and Airbus Defence and Space. The satellites were produced in Florida, USA in its leading-edge satellite manufacturing facilities that can build up to two satellites per day on a series production line dedicated to spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing.

Starship | SN10 | High-Altitude Flight Recap
On March 3, Starship serial number 10 (SN10) completed SpaceX’s third high-altitude flight test of a Starship prototype as it successfully ascended, transitioned propellant, and reoriented itself for reentry and an active aerodynamic controlled descent. SN10’s Raptor engines reignited to perform the vehicle’s landing flip maneuver immediately before successfully touching down on the landing pad. Test flights such as SN10’s are about improving our understanding and development of a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo on long-duration interplanetary flights, and help humanity return to the Moon, and travel to Mars and beyond.

Inside KSC! for March 12, 2021
The twin solid rocket boosters that will power NASA's Space Launch System rocket on the Artemis I mission are now fully assembled on the mobile launcher (ML) inside the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy. Assembly involved teams with the agency's Exploration Ground Systems and contractor Jacobs using a heavy-lift crane to stack 10 booster segments and nose assemblies on top of the ML. Also, NASA and Boeing are working to evaluate a new target launch date for the company's Orbital Flight Test-2 mission to the International Space Station. Some factors involved in the evaluation include the replacement of avionics boxes, visiting vehicle traffic to the space station, and more.
