Event Details

Join us for a live discussion with astronaut Victor Glover, who is currently orbiting 200 miles above us on the International Space Station. Glover will join us live from the ISS to discuss his experiences as astronaut, the importance of the ISS, and so much more!

The program will begin at 12:30 pm ET as our educators discuss Glover’s historic flight to the ISS and our collaboration with Glover to document his stay on the ISS, and share stories of Glover’s astronaut training and career path. Glover will join us live from the ISS at 12:50 pm ET.

This program is part of an ongoing partnership with the National Museum of African American History and Culture to celebrate Victor Glover’s historic first trip to the ISS. When Glover arrived at the ISS as part of the SpaceX Crew-1 launch, he became the first Black astronaut to live on board the space station as part of a long-term mission.
