Soviet Space Dogs Crash Landed In Siberia, Saved By 'Christmas Miracle'
On December 22nd 1960, a pair of soviet space explorers - Kometa & Shutka were lost in Siberia after their rocket failed during launch. They weren't equipped to handle the conditions, and nobody expected to find them alive, but in the end they were lucky that the self destruct system and ejection hardware failed. They were recovered alive and one was eventually adopted. Many more details about this mission are on Anatoly Zak's Russian Space Web site:

Soyuz vs. Crew Dragon: Why does SpaceX take so long to dock with the ISS?
The first two crewed mission of the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule have taken between 19 and 30 hours to dock with the International Space Station, however, the Russian Soyuz capsule has demonstrated docking within just three hours. Why does it take so long for SpaceX to dock to the ISS and what goes into the decision making process? I'm discussing that in today's #TwoMinuteTuesday episode. #SpaceX #olhzn2MT 7 Differences Between Crew-1 and DM-2: https://youtu.be/ngrdlPrvm7U Connect with me here ➡ https://solo.to/olhzn MEMBERS GET BONUS CONTENT & EXCLUSIVE ACCESS

Arrival: 4K Soyuz approach and docking with the International Space Station
This video was taken originally by the crewmembers aboard the Soyuz TMA-16M spacecraft which docked to the International Space Station at 9:33 p.m. EDT March 27, 2015.
Using AI software, it has been upscaled to 4K revealing more detail of this spectacular approach and arrival at the ISS. I know many will ask about the "objects" which look like they are whizzing past the capsule - this is nothing more than the cryogenic remnants of the maneuvering thrusters which can also be seen here https://twitter.com/AstroKomrade/status/893260442457571328?s=20 NASA astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian cosmonauts Mikhail Kornienko and Gennady Padalka arrived just six hours after launching from Baikonur, Kazakhstan, completing four orbits around the Earth before catching up with the orbiting laboratory. The vehicle docked to the Poisk module (also known as the Mini-Research Module 2) on the space-facing side of the Russian Service Module. The spinning object in view is an antenna that is part of the automatic rendezvous and docking system known as KURS. Thanks for watching - why not support this channel and help us grow.

Starship SpaceX News, Crew Dragon Bankrupts Roscosmos, Meet Artemis Base Camp!
Are you worried about the repeating Starship bursts? And will this delay our promised trip to Mars? Besides Starship Spacex news, NASA just released new details on how they would build a moon base with the Artemis program in the 2020s. ------- NAVIGATION THROUGH THE VIDEO: -------
0:54 We analyse whether it was a Starship Spacex design flaw or a test configuration mistake leading to the latest test failure of Starship prototype SN3.
2:25 NASA only succeeded with their Apollo moon program after many failures, so we shouldn't be discouraged by the SpaceX Starship explosion. Besides, SpaceX Boca Chica team is already building the next members of the Spacex Starship fleet in a true assembly line fashion, which basically turns SpaceX Boca Chica facility into a SpaceX Starship factory.
5:35 The most exciting Starship SpaceX update is of course the release of the official Starship Users Guide, which includes lots of details on both the cargo and crew configuration of Starship, as well as future SpaceX Starship launch schedule.
9:57 Despite the Falcon 9 engine incident during the last SpaceX Starlink satellite launch, SpaceX Crew Dragon demo-2 mission is on schedule to launch the first astronauts to the ISS in May 2020. Russia declined the offer to have a Russian astronaut on board of the Crew Dragon capsule, since SpaceX's low prices are basically pushing Roscosmos out of launch business.
12:12 NASA just updated their Artemis moon program, with the addition of Lunar Terrain Vehicles, an Artemis base camp, and an expandable Bigelow-like habitat module attached to the lunar gateway. We believe SpaceX Starship in cargo configuration would deliver the necessary infrastructure for NASA's future moon base, and SpaceX Starship in crew configuration would deliver the first NASA astronauts to Mars. 🔴 Subscribe for more FREE entertainment! 🔴
