China's Tianwen-1 probe performs orbital adjustment around Mars
For more:
https://www.cgtn.com/video According to China's National Space Administration (CNSA), the Tianwen-1 Mars probe successfully carried out an orbital maneuver on the far side of the red planet at 5 p.m. Beijing time on Monday. The maneuver, in which the probe changed its inclination, will allow it to view the entire planet over time. The craft will conduct several more orbital adjustments in the near future. In order to enter parking orbit, the Tianwen-1 will remain stationary for a while in order to locate a place to land on Mars, which will happen around May or June. https://sc.mp/subscribe-youtube Asia’s largest single-aperture fully steerable antenna is ready to go into service to communicate with the Tianwen-1 Mars mission deployed by China. The antenna in Tianjin city in northern China has a diameter of 70 metres (230ft). It covers some 4,560 square metres (49,000 sq ft), an area about the size of 10 basketball courts. Chinese officials said on February 3, 2021, that the dish will help collect data from the Tianwen-1 Mars probe when it enters orbit around the red planet on February 10. Support us:

China’s first Mars probe to approach Mars orbit next week
China’s first Mars mission – Tianwen-1, is expected to approach Mars’ orbit right around Chinese New Year Eve next week. The spacecraft will burn its engines to slow down enough to be captured by Mars’ gravitational pull. The 5-ton probe launched in July 2020 has now travelled for 24 weeks and is over 170 million kilometers away from the Earth. It is one of the most challenging space exploration missions human being ever carried out. Tianwen-1’s rover is expected to perform a series of unprecedented Mars exploration tasks upon its arrival.

Yinghuo-1, an attempted orbiter was the first. It launched in 2011, but due to an upper stage failure it never made it past Earth orbit.

Why Everyone Is Going To Mars Right Now (NASA's Perseverance, China's Tianwen-1, & UAE's Hope Probe)
NASA just launched its Mars rover Perseverance, perched atop an Atlas V5 rocket. But NASA wasn't alone….In the past two weeks, China launched its Tianwen-1 mission, and the United Arab Emirates launched its Hope Probe, all headed to Mars. These spacecraft will travel over 400 million kilometers before reaching their destination around February 2021. But in the past 13 years, only seven rockets sent missions to the red planet. So, why are so many attempts to reach Mars all happening right now? ------------------------------------------------------ #Mars #NASA #TechInsider Tech Insider tells you all you need to know about tech: gadgets, how-to's, gaming, science, digital culture, and more.

China Mars Mission: Why does Tianwen-1 go to Mars? (3/3)
Mars is an obvious target for exploration because it's close at hand in our Solar System; Earth is the third planet from the sun and Mars is the fourth. More importantly, from many perspectives, Mars is the most similar planet to earth, which can help us find many answers to the past and the possible future of our home planet.
